Batman #5
Written by Scott Snyder | Art by Greg Capullo
Batman # 5
Man. What a ride. I'm not sure who ISN'T enjoying Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's run on Batman, but if you're one of the few, this issue is a prime example of just what you're missing. Using the physical comic book to play off reader expectations and take us along for the ride on Batman's trip to insanity, Batman #5 is an all-around masterstroke of comic book storytelling. Snyder and Capullo take full advantage of the medium at their disposal, and it's an effort that is already a contender for issue of the year.
